Scout Code of Conduct

Last updated: October 2026

Current

1. Purpose

Scout access is provided for legitimate rugby recruitment, development and talent-identification purposes only. Access to RS Performance Index does not create ownership of athlete information or a right to contact junior athletes directly.

2. Appropriate use

Scouts must use athlete information only for the stated professional purpose, protect confidentiality, respect profile visibility and consent settings, and use guardian-mediated contact for junior athletes.

3. Prohibited conduct

Scouts must not scrape, copy in bulk, sell, republish, redistribute or build an external database from RSPI athlete information. Credentials may not be shared. Private contact information may not be sought or obtained through circumvention of platform controls.

4. Junior athletes

Scouts must not privately message or directly solicit a junior athlete through RSPI. Contact requests for junior athletes are routed to the linked parent or guardian and an approved introduction is facilitated without automatic disclosure of private contact details.

5. Data interpretation

Performance measurements are one component of athlete evaluation. Scouts must not treat an RSPI score or ranking as a guarantee of selection, future potential, scholarship eligibility or professional success.

6. Withdrawal and restrictions

Consent withdrawal, visibility changes and access restrictions must be respected immediately. RSPI may suspend or revoke scout access where misuse, attempted circumvention or safeguarding concerns are identified.

7. Accountability

Scout searches, profile access and relevant platform actions may be logged for security, safeguarding and compliance purposes. By requesting scout verification, the scout agrees to this Code of Conduct and the applicable Terms of Use.
