PAIA Manual
Last updated: October 2026
Current1. About PAIA
The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA) provides a framework for requesting access to records held by private bodies. This page is a plain-language summary and does not replace the formal PAIA Manual that RS Performance Index must maintain and make available as required by law.
2. Information Officer
PAIA and POPIA requests are handled through the responsible Information Officer function. Current contact and registration information must be maintained by RS Performance Index and published where legally required. Requests may also be submitted through the platform privacy request process.
3. How to request access
Submit a written request to our Information Officer describing the record you want access to and the reason you need it. We will respond within the statutory timeframe. Certain records may be refused access on grounds set out in PAIA.
4. Fees
A reasonable request and access fee may apply, as permitted by PAIA and its regulations. We will inform you of any applicable fees before processing your request.
5. Full manual
The complete PAIA Manual — including the structure of the organisation, the categories of records held, and the grounds on which access may be refused — is published by the administrator and linked from the website footer when available. The manual can be updated without rebuilding the website.
