Question 1

What is the RS Performance Index?

Accepted Answer

RS Performance Index is a rugby athlete intelligence and talent identification platform. It turns standardised performance testing into verified athlete profiles used for development tracking and responsible scouting.

Question 2

How are athletes tested?

Accepted Answer

Athletes complete a standardised rugby performance battery — sprints, agility, jumps and endurance — at organised testing sessions run by authorised testers. Each result records its method, equipment, tester, location and date.

Question 3

What does Verified Result mean?

Accepted Answer

A verified result is one captured by an authorised tester during an official testing session, with full testing provenance. Self-reported results are clearly labelled and kept separate from verified data.

Question 4

Who can view athlete profiles?

Accepted Answer

Access is role-based. Athletes and parents control visibility. Coaches see their assigned squads. Verified scouts and organisations see only what an athlete's visibility and consent settings permit.

Question 5

Can parents control athlete visibility?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Parents manage visibility and consent for minor athletes, including scouting visibility. Minor athlete profiles are not publicly indexed.

Question 6

How often should athletes be tested?

Accepted Answer

Testing is most useful when repeated over time. Many programmes test at the start and end of a season, but frequency is set by the school, club or academy responsible for the athlete.

Question 7

How does athlete comparison work?

Accepted Answer

Authorised users can compare two to four athletes side by side across physical metrics and category indices, with each athlete's strongest areas highlighted.

Question 8

How does Scout verification work?

Accepted Answer

Scout accounts pass through verification before gaining access to scouting features. Unverified scout accounts cannot access restricted athlete information.

Question 9

Can schools and clubs use RS Performance Index?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Schools, clubs, academies and testing organisations can create organisation profiles, manage teams, run testing sessions and view organisation-level analytics.

Question 10

What is a Performance Profile?

Accepted Answer

An evolving record of an athlete's testing results, category indicators and development trends. Every testing session adds to the profile, creating a longitudinal picture of performance over time.

Question 11

How is progress calculated?

Accepted Answer

Progress is measured by comparing results across testing sessions. An athlete's current performance is compared to their own previous results, showing whether they are improving, plateauing or regressing in each area.

Question 12

How is athlete data protected?

Accepted Answer

Athlete data is treated as sensitive. Access is role-based, profiles are private by default, junior athletes require guardian consent, and sensitive information is never publicly indexed. Parents and athletes control visibility settings.
